Job Description

The Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science at Purdue University Northwest in Hammond and Westville, Indiana, invites applications for a Visiting Instructor of Mathematics position starting on January 1, 2018.

The College of Engineering and Sciences offers the following degree programs: Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology, Medical Technology, Health Studies, Chemistry, Physics, Physical Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The Master of Science degree is offered in Biology, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering.

Purdue University Northwest is an academically comprehensive regional university and part of the internationally respected Purdue University system. The campuses are located in the northwest Indiana cities of Hammond, less than 25 miles southeast of downtown Chicago, and Westville, near the shores of Lake Michigan. Essential Duties:

Mix of Dual Credit liaison duties requiring visits to partner high schools and teaching undergraduate courses in mathematics, statistics and computer science for students from all departments.

A Master's Degree in either Mathematics or Statistics is required. Proficiency in English, written and spoken, is required. Teaching experience in mathematics and/or statistics at the high school or university level preferred.
