Job Description

As Research Engineer, you will manage asphalt materials and pavement research projects to satisfactory conclusion. Additionally, you will supervise laboratory and field testing as well as train and supervise graduate and undergraduate students in the use of laboratory and field testing equipment. You will also collaborate with research sponsors and graduate students to design and complete research projects, analyze data, and report findings. You will oversee the asphalt materials laboratory. Finally, you will assist in disseminating research findings through appropriate methods.

Required:

* Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering or related field with a background in asphalt materials and pavements.
* Two years of research experience.
* Experience with asphalt binder and mixture testing, as well as asphalt mixture design.
* Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in all areas of research including choosing methods and strategies and avoiding loss of valuable research time and resources.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated by history of research dissemination and presentation.
* A valid US or Canadian driver's license.

Preferred:

* Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
