Job Description

This position is part time (~ 19 hours/week). Benefits do not apply.

Essential Duties:

* Responsible for setting up and running all mechanical and civil engineering experiments (heat transfer, fluid mechanics, solid mechanics, materials and mechanical experimentation, etc.).
* Assists faculty and staff in identifying malfunctioning equipment, diagnosing problems, repairing and calibrating.
* Conducts training in ME/CE labs and revises lab manuals.
* Maintains inventory of parts and equipment and orders necessary items and supplies to keep all mechanical and civil engineering laboratories functioning properly.
* Installs new equipment, software (e.g. AutoCAD) and assists students with senior design projects.

High School diploma/GED. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Two years' experience Maintaining, repairing, operating, and calibrating all mechanical and civil engineering machinery and labs; using and updating lab manuals; operating machinery, preferable CNC machines. Years of industrial experience may suffice in lieu of degree. Knowledge in maintaining, repairing, operating and calibrating Machinery. Ability to use and update Lab manuals. Operating Machinery, preferably CNC Machines.
