Job Description

PSECU, a high-tech, progressive financial institution with more than $5 billion in assets, is seeking a Penn State Alumni Association Account Manager (PAM). The Penn State Alumni Association Account Manager (PAM) is responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service for Penn State Alumni Associaiton members across all First Data assets and lines of business. As the primary day-to-day contact with Penn State Alumni Association, the PAM plays a critical role in providing seamless, high-quality service and support, while thinking and acting strategically to help the Sales/Account Executives grow existing client relationships, revenue growth and the overall business relationship.

Starting Salary: $61,184/yr.- $91,776/yr. (Commensurate with experience)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, evenings & weekends flex schedule

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - Essential for this position:

* Serve as single point of contact to build and manage relationships with alumni association and associated stakeholders through daily contact with the Penn State Alumni Association, working to discover new promotional opportunities, evaluating current promotional opportunities, and overseeing and managing contract commitments.
* Gather feedback from association members and prepare recommendations and justifications for changes to the alumni program policies and procedures, budget requests, personnel actions, and management activities.
* Work closely with State College Financial Center staff and affinity ambassador interns to leverage our near-campus presence, ultimately driving increased traffic to our location; partner with the business development team members for potential SEG opportunities; work with Marketing's sports marketing management unit to leverage Penn State Sports Property's (PSSP) assets (suite, club, Curtain Road, etc.)
* Closely monitor Penn State Alumni Associaiton-related membership goals and identify and develop strategies for competing FIs.
* Represent PSECU at public events with interns and develop connections with branch campus network to engage with all PSU alumni, particularly targeting PSECU's goal markets.
* Work as a single point of contact with 32 PA-based PSU alumni chapters to deliver on the aims and objectives of PSECU's membership and retention goals. Assist the Alumni Program Manager and Senior Director of Membership Development implement our alumni program strategy through the Penn State Alumni Association's chapters.
* Maintain day-to-day contact with chapter administrators, including chapter president, volunteer steering committees, national organizations, and campus partners such as coaches and athletic staff.
* Work with PSECU marketing staff to develop and implement promotional campaigns specific to alumni association chapters and manage sponsorship opportunities and chapter incentive program (if implemented).
* Through interaction with the chapter administrators and members, identify and evaluate cultural, business or economic trends and creatively incorporate those trends into programming and/or product and service offerings.
* Coordinate, execute, and evaluate chapter workshops, interest tables, and presentations with intern support to increase PSECU membership and promote product and service usage.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - Essential for all PSECU Management:

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of PSECU's Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement, processes, related business processes, and the business world outside PSECU. Maintain knowledge PSECU's goals, culture, philosophy, products and services, bylaws, policies, and internal practices.
* Workflow Management - Manage time effectively; meet deadlines; and produce quality work requiring little or no review. Manage high volume of work assignments.
* Judgment - Exercise good judgment and appropriate decision making within scope of job.
* Communication - Effectively communicate with audience appropriate content and detail both verbally and in writing.
* Relationship Management - Maintain strong and effective interpersonal skills and effective working relationships with all stakeholders, both internal and external. Demonstrate PSECUs Operating Principles of PRIDE (Partnership, Reliability, Improvement, Dedication, and Ethics).
* People Management and Development
* Supervise workflow and staff, using PSECU's coaching style of management (1-on-1 dialoging regularly, delegating effectively, setting expectations and goals, proving ongoing training, providing development opportunities, holding staff accountable in accordance with the credit union's performance management process).
* Responsible for adhering to the organizations Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Diversity & Inclusion practices when selecting, mentoring, promoting and training staff.
* Responsible for ensuring that all selection, promotional and training practices within the department are handled in accordance with the organizations Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Diversity & Inclusion initiatives.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
* Maintain regular and consistent attendance as required for acceptable performance and accountabilities of this position.
* Maintain confidentiality, in particular with credit union account information, as well as other information designated as confidential.
* Responsible for the establishment and ongoing maintenance of an effective system of internal control within the scope of assigned job responsibilities.
* Must meet creditworthiness standards.
* Notify Human Resources in writing if convicted of a misdemeanor or felony involving dishonesty, breach of trust or violation of the Pennsylvania Credit Union Code (17 Pa. S. C. A. 101 et seq.) during the course of employment with PSECU.

* Must carry auto insurance and provide proof of current insurance policy on a six month basis coincident with renewal. The credit union carries employees as insured on its excess liability coverage. The coverage applies in excess of whatever liability insurance the employee carries on his personal auto.MINIMUM / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
* Minimum Experience
* Bachelor's degree in related field
* And minimum of 5+ years progressive experience in major account relationships management
* Or any equivalent combination of experience and education.
