Responsibilities

The Deposit Specialist will focus primarily on three responsibilities: 1) Grow an existing book of non-credit clients 2) Develop new business opportunities with financial institution clients with a focus on demand deposit accounts and 3) Develop new business opportunities with non-financial institution clients with a focus on demand deposit accounts.

S/he will work closely with the Group Head, Deposit Specialists and Analysts to execute client requests in an efficient and effective manner. Deposit Specialist collaborates with the Market Lead and other Deposit Specialists to increase new relationships of the Bank through a team approach to meet the credit and relationship needs of clients. Deposit Specialist will seek greater penetration of existing relationships through active cross sale of non-credit bank products with the ultimate goal of profitable growth of strategic client relationships.

The Deposit Specialist will be responsible for but not limited to the following activities.

* Gain in-depth knowledge of all commercial banking products offered to financial institutions to maximize effectiveness of position as a valued member of the Financial Institutions Group ("FIG")
* Maintain and develop client relationships, exploring opportunities to provide additional non-credit services. Seek to become trusted advisor through regular client contact and relationship building
* Serve as Client's primary internal resource as it relates to relationship
* Identify product/service opportunities for other business units and participates in development of creative solutions to client needs, coordinates presentations, and brings in partners when appropriate
* Coordinate all meetings with the client, including any site visits
* Collaborate with Market Leade as part of a team to ensure delivery of top-notch client service
* Complete portfolio responsibilities including portfolio reviews and KYC refreshes, in a timely manner (quarterly and annually),
* Quarterback to drive deals through the prospecting and closing process
* Negotiate legal documentation related to transactions
* Maintain active in industry events to maintain current market knowledge and client relationships
* Focused on service of existing clients
* Collaboration with Client Banking Specialists to fulfill client requests and fulfill due diligence requirements
* Assist in miscellaneous projects as needed
* Work and interact with experienced financial services professionals
* Interact with other team members (Treasury Management, Capital Markets, Credit, etc.) to achieve approval and execution for new business and modifications to existing business
* Attend industry events to develop market knowledge and build client relationships

Qualifications

* Minimum 5 years in banking
* Experience in new business development and portfolio management
* College Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics preferred
* Ability to foster and maintain commercial relationships with high level of competency
* Ability to identify opportunities within new specialized lines of business
* Experience with global cash management for Fortune 500 companies is preferred
* Proficient in Microsoft Office products with advanced knowledge financial analysis and modeling
