Director of Communications

Princeton Day School, an independent PreK-12 school, is seeking an experienced professional to serve as the Director of Communications.

Reporting to the Director of Admissions, Director of Advancement, and the Head of School, the Director of Communications will be responsible for all matters of institutional communication and will develop and disseminate content within the school, local, and national communities. Working closely with the Advancement and Admissions offices and, on occasion, the Head of School’s office, the Director will support the advancement of school-wide strategic initiatives and planning. Guiding and directing the efforts of two communications associates, the Director will enjoy primary responsibility for marketing, outreach and public relations; and all web, print, and social media content and communications.

The successful candidate will have broad experience in areas such as marketing, public relations, design, and advertising; will write well and convincingly; and will have demonstrated an interest and success in advancing the mission and goals of a business or not-for-profit enterprise.

About PRINCETON DAY SCHOOL

Princeton Day School is an educational institution which prides itself on treating everyone equally. While everyone at PDS aims for protection, it is human nature to fall short of that goal from time to time, and it is in my personal nature to point out the glaring examples of the school's shortcomings. One horrid discrepancy is locker ornamentation in the Middle School.
