Job Description

This position is responsible for designing and developing solutions to complex system administration issues, network concerns, and systems management and integration functions related to the Company's Active Directory systems environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to user management and provisioning platforms and processes.
  • Creates logical and physical designs of new environments.
  • Develops, maintains, and supports the Company's technical infrastructure, hardware and system software components.
  • Performs configuration, debugging and support for multiple infrastructure platforms.
  • Performs root cause analysis for service interruption recovery
  • Creates preventative measures; performs store and engineering and roll-out implementation
  • Operates as a team lead and provides technical direction to newer associates or interns regarding Active Directory.
  • Provides technical direction as it relates to Active Directory application.
  • Works with other technical staff members, sharing information and collaborating on all applicable projects and/or escalated issues and resolution.
  • Stay abreast of the latest technology trends
  • Some Travel

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills and abilities)

  • BS in Computer Science or related field.
  • Requires 5 years of experience performing network engineering and systems administration in a large enterprise environment including a minimum of 4 years of managing Active Directory.
  • Previous experience managing network operating systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware and network operating systems and expertise troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a variety of software environments.
  • Experience should include 4 years with MS-Windows OS and MS Office Suite, MS SQL Server, MS Client OS, SQL databases 2000/2005/2008 and MS Exchange.
  • Experience in software development languages such as C, C++ and VBScript
  • The ability to work quickly and accurately in a shared community environment.
  • Proven ability of managing Active Directory systems environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with expertise in troubleshooting, diagnosing and solving complex computer related problems
  • Relevant and demonstrable technical support experience in a software environment
  • Self-directed, able to prioritize and effectively handle multiple projects at a time under high-pressure and challenging situations.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills.

Technical Certifications

  • MCITP (Enterprise + Server 2008), MCSE (TCP/IP, IIS 4.0) & A+, VMWARE 4.1
