Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk for our company in Lawrenceville, GA. Our company offers innovated technology to help further the success of our students. The AR Clerk will report to the Accounting Manager. This position ensures the accounts receivable processes are followed in compliance with policies and procedures. You will assist in assessing customer credit worthiness and limits, create reports per request and maintain customer records.


You will be responsible for the analysis, reconciliation and collections of trade receivable accounts, and be the primary interface with designated customers, and sales representatives for timely remittances and resolution of issues.

* Process day to day accounts receivable activities
* Process cash receipts, prepaids, etc.
* Bill on ALL completed shipments
* Application of cash receipts to customer accounts
* Process credit card payments
* Upload all new invoices and credit memos into the TPS system
* Monitor the AR aging balances 60 days out and perform collection calls in conjunction with TPS and sales persons
* Provide customer assistance with invoice and account statement issues
* Approve material return authorization requests
* Approve refunds for inventory returns
* Create credit memos to resolve billing errors
* Other duties as assigned


* Must have experience with general ledgers.
* Demonstrate sound judgement and decision making skills.
* Uphold full confidentiality with any and all sensitive documentation.
* Must be able to work extended hours and may require lengthy phone call conversations.
* Maintain professional and strong relationships with all departments to ensure exceptional customers satisfaction.
* Must have two plus years of accounts receivable and general ledger experience.
* Must have strong mathematical and computer skills.
* Must be able to apply creative and common sense approach and insight into developing and carrying out management goals.
* Must have experience with accounting software and Microsoft software in a Windows environment.

Hours: Monday - Friday first shift

Pay: $22 per hour
