Our client in Austin, Texas is looking for a Technical Analyst/Developer to provide Level2 (L2) technical production support for multiple operationally critical applications. The primary responsibilities are to help the team maintain current Legacy applications in production (80%) and work to continuously improve upon existing processes, monitoring, and related tools (20%).
Become expert on multiple Legacy applications maintained by the team (understand business processes, application behavior, business operations, priorities and criticality)
Prioritize production issues for triage/trouble-shooting by self and/or team.
Participate in ticket trouble-shooting individually and with peers.
Participate in evening & weekend on-call rotations.
Assess operational requirements & scenarios, review upstream/downstream flows, impacts & risks.
Interface regularly with peer Development teams, peer support teams, Business Partners & stores for investigations, triaging, workaround communications, outage notifications, and assessments to improve existing processes.
Along with team, participate in daily stand-ups, manage & prioritize work within a Scrumban environment

Required:
- Good communication skills
- Proficiency in developing in at least one language such as Java, VB.NET, or .NET/C#
- Object-oriented Design & Analysis skills
- Experience in an Agile development environment (Scrum/Kanban/Scrumban, etc.)
- SQL Skills (Oracle/SQL Server etc.)
- WebSphere or IIS or similar
- Javascript (Interplay between JavaScript & jsp & Struts. Know syntax and why it is used etc.)
- Linux/UNIX (Finding & manipulating text files, understanding of process listings and how to manage processes, disk space evaluation etc.)
- MS Reporting Services
Plusses:
- UML/Visio diagraming skills for rendering use case scenarios/understanding designs etc.
