Job Description

Description: Position as a Sales and Use Tax Department Intern of a Fortune 500 company with a variety of exciting tax opportunities in sales and use tax. Opportunity to interact and work with various levels of professionals with the Tax Department, including managers and directors. Excellent opportunity for the candidate to explore his/her interest in the tax profession and to prepare for a career in tax. Former interns have secured successful careers in large accounting firms, as well as Fortune 500 companies.


Perform Data Reconciliations

Assist with audits such as print invoices, purchase orders, and exemption certificates

Assist senior tax professionals in a variety of compliance and research related projects.

Assist with monthly Use Tax reports which consist of generating reports and distributing associated documents to the team

Correspond to Tax Notices in a timely manner

Perform administrative tasks such as printing tax returns, typing, filing, data entry, and copying.

Working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting with expected graduation date of May 2021 or May 2022

Tax course work a plus

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Highly organized, responsible, and detail-oriented

Must be willing and able to work a minimum of 18-20 hours a week
