About Power Costs Inc

PCI was founded in 1992 to market the unit commitment optimization technology developed by Dr. Fred Lee. Under his direction, PCI has successfully brought this technology to the commercial market as a software product called Scheduler. Since then, PCI has steadily added product features, top-tier energy customers, and team members that continue to grow the business. In 1999, PCI introduced PCI GENTRADER® to address the operational and physical optimization needs of those in deregulated energy trading environments. The overwhelming response to PCI GENTRADER® propelled PCI to market leadership in both regulated and deregulated markets. Realizing the need and importance of PCI GENTRADER®, within the energy industry and the need for web-based connectivity of software solutions, PCI developed, released, and implemented the first version of PCI GENPORTAL® in 2001. Throughout our history we have worked closely with our customers to understand the nature of the next challenge. All PCI developed software solutions are built with the needs of the customer in mind. PCI's developers strive to not only respond to customer needs, but also to anticipate them.
