Job Description

Junior Systems Administrator

Position Summary:

Work within a small IT team to provide end-user support for approximately 300 staff in multiple geographic locations. Assist in the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of corporate servers and systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

Support local & remote users via IT Support ticketing systems, emails, and phone calls.

Share in daily maintenance and support duties on a variety of internal applications.

Monitor IT infrastructure health and performance.

Assist senior IT staff as-needed on new applications and systems deployments.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

2+ years of experience providing Tier 2/Tier 3 technical support in Microsoft Windows environments.

Working knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy, including common tools and best practices.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and other common PC applications.

Familiar with SQL and relational/tabular data storage and organization concepts.

Understand LAN networking theory & concepts.

Excellent analytical abilities, project and time management skills, with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

BS Degree or equivalent experience
