As an Infrastructure Configuration Consultant within PNC's Desktop Services organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH.

PNC is seeking an Enterprise Windows Infrastructure Support Technician to assist with the maintenance and support of PNC's Windows infrastructure environment. The position is primarily focused on the Windows based ATM's, including hardware and peripherals, and is responsible for providing 3rd tier support for all aspects of the ATM and implementing ATM configuration changes and application deployments using a centralized software distribution tool.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Operate as a technical expert on all aspects of the Windows desktop including operating system, desktop support, software distribution and PC hardware and peripherals. Will be responsible for working with different technical areas within the bank and various lines of business to develop, implement and support technical solutions with emphasis on the desktop.

* Leverage Systems Center Configuration Manager for application distributions
* Provide 3rd level support for all software and hardware on ATMs
* Ensure new infrastructure technologies are adequately tested and integrated with other Infrastructure and Application Services
* Suggest improvements based on technology, best practices, or changing requirements
* Packaging Applications (MSI, VBScript or PowerShell) via company standards and policies as needed.

Other Skills/Abilities:

* 7+ years experience supporting, deploying, and managing desktop environments (Windows 7 and Windows 10)
* Proven understanding of Windows operating systems, active directory and scripting experience (i.e. PowerShell, ) related to a desktop environment
* Expertise in PC hardware, related peripherals, and unique configurations
* Experience with mission-critical services and applications in a large enterprise environment
* Proficient in SCCM and operating system deployments
* Proficient in managing client health
* Proficient in MS Excel and data manipulation
* Experience in working projects supporting IT Risk/Security
* Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Self-motivator & attention to detail
* Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and balance conflicting demands
* Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Job Description

* Manages the requirements for planning, organizing, and implementing enterprise-wide technology infrastructure and configuration management functions.
* Leads the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of major configuration changes from acquisition to termination.
* Oversees the effective implementation and use of the configuration management process, methodology, tools, procedures, and audit activities.
* Develops and publishes metrics to qualify and quantify configuration success; ensures that configuration practices are in compliance with standards.
* Ensures the accuracy and validity of the configuration database for content on assets, major infrastructure and platform components, system documentation and service components.

System and Technology Integration - Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems, and the ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms.

Systems Software Infrastructure - Knowledge of software technology, and the ability to plan global, regional and local software architecture and infrastructure components.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
