Essential Functions:

Marketing Analyst duties including, but not limited to:

* Work with Business Unit Director to provide routine reports and information as needed for business decisions, and be involved in the routine operations of the Business Unit.
* Understand and explain the impact of hedging activity on your Business Unit, as part of knowing what is driving the business unit's performance.
* Responsibility for annual plan, guidance and profit estimates for one or more geographic business units
* Reporting of company/business unit performance and a grasp of the drivers of profit/loss.
* Analysis of Variances to guidance, budget, estimate: explanations vs. estimate, vs. guidance, Month-over-Month, Quarter-over Quarter and Year-over Year.
* Adherence to strict deadlines for all work products
* Special projects as needed, such as Acreage Dedication Reviews, reviews of throughputs and Minimum Volume Commitments as needed.
* Microsoft Access Databases. Design queries and reports in MS Access. Perform database functions related to truck tickets, opex, etc..
* Pricing duties
* Share responsibility for accurate and timely publishing of prices for postings and various other pricing mechanisms. This duty occasionally involves work during holidays, either from home or in office.
* Perform SOX controls and assist in audits related to pricing.



Requirements

Requirements:

* College Degree - preferably BBA with a combination of finance, accounting or economics.
* 3 to 5 years work experience. The ideal candidate should have experience in the oil and gas industry.
* Must have advanced Excel and excellent math skills, as well as strong critical thinking skills for analysis and problem solving.
* MS Access Skills are desirable, with ability to design complete queries as needed.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with all levels of management.
* Knowledge of field operations and a grasp of what factors influence operating expense.
* Attention to Detail.
