The Senior Design Engineer is responsible assisting the early scheming process and for creating accurate 3-D CAD models, detailed mechanical part drawings, and bills-of-material for a new state-of-the-art automotive engine design. The Senior Design Engineer will need to work proactively and collaboratively with other engineers, participate in design reviews, and conduct a start-to-finish concept design through to receipt of hardware and ownership of any issues along the way. The Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for the main cylinder head casting design of the engine.
