Full Price Merchandising Intern - Fall 2019

The Tommy Hilfiger Internship Program offers bright, motivated individuals the opportunity to receive mentorship, supervision, and training. In addition to gaining hands-on experience in their department, Interns will attend various cross-functional presentations, learning sessions with Senior Leadership and have the opportunity to work with Interns across the PVH brands on community outreach.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The major function of the Ecommerce Buying Intern is to support the day-to-day needs of the buying team to run a successful business. The Ecommerce intern will collaboratively assist with all divisions on Tommy.com. Interns will gain knowledge into our merchandise selection process and attend various key meetings that are essential to our buying strategy. They will assist with sales reports, inventory reports and sample management.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

* Running weekly sales reports including photo recaps and refreshing selling pivots.
* Checking in and organizing current and future season samples. This also includes end of season clean up.
* Completing day-to-day functions such as report set-up and document formatting.
* Preparing necessary documents and samples for important meetings: Roll-outs, Hindsight & Financial Reviews.
* Maintaining an up-to-date On Order by refreshing the inventory pull twice a week.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Education:

Applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program during the *INSERT SEASON* semester. A candidate's application acknowledges that they will be available to intern a minimum of three full days per week throughout the duration of the program which lasts from *INSERT DATES*.

Skills:

High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Detail oriented with a proactive mindset and strong work ethic

TH Ecommerce Divisional Merchandise Manager

External:

RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY:

* Creates a fashion show binder for new Tommy Hilfiger runway styles.
* Compiles a trend PowerPoint of competitive and aspirational brand looks.
* Explores competitors to suggest new strategies for Tommy.com's platform.

* The Ecommerce team provides an encouraging, hands-on learning environment for an aspiring merchant
* This position offers a great opportunity to work cross-functionally and gain exposure to various departments of the business
* Please note that applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program during the Fall 2019 semester. School credit is offered but not required. A candidate's application acknowledges that they will be available to intern a minimum of three full days per week throughout the duration of the program, which lasts from September 9 through December 6 (with Thanksgiving week off).
