Job Description

Under the supervision of the Brand Security Director, the intern will be participating to the definition and implementation of a cost effective strategy to fight illicit trade and counterfeiting of Pernod Ricard products. He/She will help coordinate a variety of projects in a team of legal and brand protection professionals across different countries and business units.

Main responsibilities

Brand Protection and Intellectual Property enforcement

* Assist to co-ordinate and follow-up administrative, civil and criminal intellectual property disputes arising in different countries;
* Assist to Powers of Attorney, legal opinions, memos and relevant documents asked by management;
* Help manage a pool of external law firms;
* Assist to develop brand protection strategies and policy positions in different regions/countries, conducting legal research when required;
* Provide support on internet monitoring against illicit trade and counterfeiting of Pernod Ricard products;

Case administration

* Set up records for new matters, keeping records up to date as case progresses;
* Uploading of counterfeit reports from external source website into the Brand Security database;
* Prepare reports of pending matters and successful results;
* Arranging the administration and postage of suspected counterfeit samples to Brand Owners whilst maintaining legal protocols;
* Contribute to a smooth communication between PRHQ, Brand and Market companies;

Other support

* Assist to draft presentations and training materials for law enforcement authorities and customs;
* Assist the preparation for meetings, seminars and official trips (ppt presentations, updates);

Required Profile & Technical Skills and Knowledge Preferred

* Holds or is currently following a master's degree in law or political science
* Fluent English is a must
* Excellent organization skills
* Strong drafting and reporting abilities
* Ability to work effectively, both independently and as a team member.
* Ability to catch up quickly in a complex environment
* Strong command of the Microsoft Pack (Excel / PPT)
* Familiarity with Intellectual Property and Brand Protection matters will be highly regarded
