Position Summary

Under the direction of the HR Systems and Payroll Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator will provide administrative and technical assistance in support of the Global Human Resources function within Perforce Software. In this entry-level position, the HR Coordinator will assist in HR administration, including HRIS entry, record-keeping, and employee set-up and onboarding. In addition, the HR Coordinator will learn payroll processing and will support vendor/carrier processing.

Essential Functions

* Administers health and welfare enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
* Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
* Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files. Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks.
* Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
* Assists with processing of terminations.
* Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
* Assists with recruitment and interview process.
* Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the Talent Acquisition team.
* Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
* Files documents into appropriate employee files.
* Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
* Prepares new-employee files.
* Participates in planning or preparing for company events.
* Assists the Office Administrator with employee services such as the Safety Committee, lunches, recognition events or employee outings/activities.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or equivalent (or equivalent work experience).
* Prior HR experience, such as an internship or specific HR course work is preferred.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, employee policies and procedures and benefit information. Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
* Familiarity and application of state and federal employment laws. This includes FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA and ERISA.
* Proficiency with the Microsoft office software suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

Working Conditions and/or Physical Demands

* This is a standard office position with extensive keyboarding and/or 10-key repetitive motion.
* Occasional light lifting of up to 30 lbs.
