Job Description

pSemi Corporation is a Murata company driving semiconductor integration. pSemi builds on Peregrine Semiconductor's 30-year legacy of technology advancements and strong IP portfolio but with a new mission-to enhance Murata's world-class capabilities with high-performance semiconductors. With a strong foundation in RF integration, pSemi's product portfolio now spans power management, connected sensors, optical transceivers, antenna tuning and RF frontends. This position will assist engineers in designing, developing, and characterizing high-performance RFICs for high volume RFFE products for use in applications such as 5G NR and LTE-A cellular handsets. Product line includes RFICs with LNAs, multi-throw high-power RF switches, integrated couplers, tunable IC filters. The candidate will support products throughout the entire product life cycle from product definition through product release to end-of-life.

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:

* Design Validation: Performing lab measurements and create validation report with comparisons vs design expectations.
* Test and Measurement: Design and implement in both hardware and software custom test benches used for product verification
* Product Characterization: Measure, analyze and document data of adherence to product requirements
* Derivative Product Design: Assist engineers with the simulation and layout of derivative product designs in Cadence

Hands on use of RF measurement equipment to validate performance of CMOS RF ICs

* RF measurements - NF, IP3, IP2, matching using smith charts, time domain measurements etc.
* Knowledge of analog and RF IC Design.
* Familiarity with analog & RF IC layout techniques
* Strength in documentation clarity and completeness
* Team player with a strong sense of urgency and an inquisitive nature
* Software tools: Matlab, JMP, Datapower, National Instruments LabView, Cadence, ADS

Education and Experience:

* Currently enrolled in BSEE (must be completing 3+ yr) or MSEE or PhD candidate.
* RF/analog IC product characterization and RF measurement techniques with strong technical skills are a plus
