Job Description


The Center of Excellence Specialist is responsible for managing customer data in the customer master systems (Salesforce, Informatica, MDS & Prism, other systems might also apply).


* Address data requests and resolve data issues, engage Data Stewards as needed
* Create or modify account or account types (Corporate Ultimate, HQ, Division, Site, etc.)
* Reorganize account hierarchies
* Research accounts, companies, and hierarchies
* Monitor the quality of newly created data
* Investigate and analyze data, and the impact of any data changes in customer master
* Measure and take actions to keep up the data quality of aspects of customer master
* Involve business stakeholders and SMEs to assist as necessary
* Understanding of general business functions: Nature of B2B business; Broad understanding of Sales, Marketing, and Finance functions.
* Have a working understanding of customer data: Incorporated companies, company contacts, private individuals; Business vs non-business organizations; Business ownership, subsidiary, branch, headquarters; Business creditworthiness
* Have a working understanding of electronic data technologies such as CRM, ERP, Data flow between systems, Database table, records, fields, field types, numeric vs text vs choice-lists, data validation errors


* High school diploma required, 2-year college degree preferred
* Data Quality experience, sales or related industry experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point. Ability to learn and work with new programs
* Forward thinking skills
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize to meet deadlines
* Desire to work in a collaborative team environment
