Description

The Department of Architectural Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for two part-time, undergraduate student Intern positions for the academic year 2019/2020. The ideal candidates are students majoring in English or a related discipline with strong technical writing skills. Duties will include proof-reading and deep editing of technical documents, sorting and analyzing necessary data, conducting literature review and summarizing the findings on non-technical topics and other supporting activities needed for the development of research publications and competitive grant proposals by Architectural Engineering faculty. Preference will be given to those with experience in working with engineering writing and have availability of at least 10 hours a week. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until all positions are filled. Interested applicants should upload a detailed resume and contact information for two references and two technical writing samples of at least two-pages where the candidate was the primary author. Short-listed candidates will be asked to complete a brief assignment before hiring. The position reports to the Department Head of Architectural Engineering.
