The successful candidate is: a Penn State Berks full-time junior or senior exhibiting academic excellence; actively seeking an internship that allows you to shape the experience to fit your interests and long-term goals, create projects that push you to step out of your comfort zone, build projects that allow you to gain skills and experiences to show off in your portfolio. Interested in a high impact learning experience to highlight on your resume; A leader who is ready to put forth a level of effort, investment, and motivation to be engaged; Interested in learning more about the Thun Library and University Library services so you can connect students with the information they need about the library; and ready to share your passion and great ideas with the Thun Library! Our team is here to support you every step of the way, is ready to make you a part of our team, and are able to answer any questions you may have. Stop by the library and ask for Melissa. Possible projects: Register for the PaLA Star Library Program and reach for the stars; Develop branding for Thun Library events, programs, graphics, etc; Become a social influencer for Library events; In partnership with librarians, create programs aimed at college students to highlight library services and enhance the findability of our collections and other information sources; Translate what students want into what we can help with; Organize a student advisory group; Outreach to Berks Student Organizations and Clubs encouraging collaboration with the Thun Library on displays and collections; Share your passion by creating library displays; You tell us what projects you would like to see! Applications will be reviewed beginning August 26th, 2019 and qualified applicants will be contacted for an interview. Pay rate is $10.00 per hour and can include 1-3 credits.
