Physical Plant Information Technology Services (ITS) is dedicated to promoting, advocating, and ensuring an inclusive and diverse work environment. The ITS group currently has two internship positions available (summer work required) and is looking for students completing their first or second year. The person chosen must have attention to detail, work equally well autonomously or as a team player. There are two distinct areas of focus for these internships (both can count for credit in the College of IST) project management and SQL report writing. Project Management Internship Summary: The intern will assist specialized IT project teams in developing documentation, procedures, solutions and tools. The selected candidate will work in a fast paced, project-oriented environment and will be involved in many facets of a project management, execution and implementation. SQL Report Writer Internship Summary: The intern will assist SQL Developer in creating reports for Physical Plant systems. The selected candidate will work in a fast paced business driven environment. See below details. In order to be qualified for these roles, you must possess the following: Currently enrolled in a four-year accredited undergraduate program, minimum of a 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 Scale, enrolled in a Computer Science or Information Technology education program. Project Management Intern: Organizational effectiveness, superb analytical writing ability to convey complex concepts, superb speaking ability to convey complex concepts, general understanding of Information Technology in the workplace. SQL Report Writer Intern: Working knowledge of relational databases, query writing experience, ability to translate business requirements into reports, desire and ability to analyze complicated data, experience with Crystal Reports is beneficial, coding experience in any languages (java script is preferable).
