Outpatient Behavioral Health Opportunity in scenic Longview, WA!

PeaceHealth Medical Group in Longview, Washington is actively seeking a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient Behavioral Health team within our 125-member multi-specialty group.  PeaceHealth St John Medical Center is a Level III, 200 bed, state of the art, community, not-for profit medical center. There are 22 inpatient psychiatric beds, of which 6 are high acuity. Join 3 Adult Psychiatrists, 1 Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, 2 ARNP, 2 LICSW and Mental Health specialists in our outpatient clinic. The oncoming provider will have a panel of patients.

 In this role, you'll practice under the direction of a physician and within scope of practice, be responsible for advanced level of nursing evaluation, clinical assessment, prescribing and monitoring medications and follow-up care for patient; be responsible for patient and family teaching, and for comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, mental status examinations, and consultation for/to medical patients.

 Longview, Washington is located along the Columbia River and I-5 corridor just 40 minutes north of Portland, Oregon. The Pacific Ocean  and is an hour from the Pacific Ocean, 2 hours south of Seattle, and 1.5 hours to beautiful mountains to enjoy hiking and snow sports. This is a lovely, family oriented community combined with the neighboring community of Kelso has a population 102k. The area offers good schools, limitless recreational activities in the stunning evergreen outdoors, and easy access to larger metropolitan areas.

Required: Graduate of Accredited School offering an Advanced Degree in Nurse Practice (ARNP)

Preferred: MSN and training in psychopharmacology training, experience in psychiatric treatment setting, & experience in diagnostic evaluation and treatment planning for person with psychiatric illness and who may be chemically dependent
