PeaceHealth is seeking a Device Technician - Bellingham, NW Cardiology for a 1.0 full time equivalent Non-Exempt position. This position will be working Day shift with shift durations of 8 Hours.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for obtaining and monitoring downloaded device data for evaluation by the physician and programs devices as directed by the physician or to meet standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Obtain device data and complete report.
  2. Maintain patients’ follow-up schedule for device checks.
  3. Provide patient education on device and remote monitoring and arrhythmias.
  4. Assess device site and alert provider of any abnormalities.
  5. Program devices.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:     

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  • Successful completion of arrhythmia identification program required.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:              

  • Knowledgeable about heart rhythms, performing EKGs and monitoring treadmills preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:            

  • CCT certification preferred.

OTHER SKILLS: 

  • Attention to detail required.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office applications.

ST JOSEPH PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work requires moderate physical exertion from 34 to 65% of the time.   
  • Ability to lift objects weighing 50 lbs. or less.      
  • Work requires frequent exposure to minor cold, heat, poor ventilation or sharp instruments. Reasonably anticipated exposure to blood and body fluids daily.     
  • Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (34-65% of work time)c
