Job Description

Parsons Construction Group, Inc. (PCG), a division of Parsons is a direct hire heavy civil contractor that focuses on P3, Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build and CMGC infrastructure projects in the US and Canada. PCG has world class construction expertise, capability and proven track record in self-performing a broad range of infrastructure projects. PCG is seeking a Field Engineer for our Arkansas Bridge project. The Parsons Construction Group's field Engineer is responsible for providing construction engineering support to the estimating and field construction operations activities.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

* Ensure adherence to Parsons Safety policies.
* Ensure adherence to Parsons Quality Control and Quality Assurance programs.
* Produce conceptual designs for the estimating team and detailed designs for the field operations teams.
* Prepare design packages for temporary structures such as formwork, false work, support of excavation, etc.
* Develop designs, schematics, procedures, drawings and means and methods based on the project specifications and requirements.
* Develop, prepare and execute work plans for the construction activities.
* Oversee and mentor Construction Engineers I, Field Engineers, Specialists and drafting staff.
* Develop training material.
* Review task budget, set and track productivities.
* Design and develop trend charts and tracking tools.
* Report, analyze and improve productivity trends.
* Review of shop drawings and specifications.
* Review and understand project schedule.
* Schedule and coordinate assigned tasks in conformance with the overall project schedule.
* Review submittals against specifications.
* Create and track RFls.
* Identify changed conditions and follow contract requirements procedures.
* Participate in change orders request preparation and resolution.

Preferred Education/Experience

* Demonstrated understanding of engineering and construction concepts, practices, and procedures.
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar field from an Accredited Institution.
* 7+ years of demonstrated self-performing experience in the construction field on heavy civil projects.

Special Skills

* Competent in Windows Office Systems; particularly in Excel, Word and Outlook.
* Competent in specification, plan, and drawing reading and interpretations.
* General knowledge of scheduling and estimating. P6 experience is a plus.
* Proficient in CAD programs.
* Demonstrated team skills
