Summary Degreed electrical engineer responsible for the design of engineering packages compliant with the California Electrical Code and other applicable local, state and national codes consisting of: *
  • One-line diagrams * Three-line diagrams * Cable tray systems * Conduit/cable routing * Grounding * Lighting * Hazardous area classification plans (using API RP 500 and the NEC) * Cable/conduit schedules * Wiring diagrams and schematics QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Electric Engineering required EIT preferred Experience using ETAP preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office products required Excellent written/verbal communication required For Associate Electrical Engineer, you do not need to have any related work experience. New grads encouraged to apply. For Electrical Engineer I - Minimum 3+ years of related work experience is required. We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate through track record, experience or internships the following: Possesses organizational, planning, written and oral communication skills to manage parts of several projects. Interfaces directly with the client on an as-needed basis. Can assess technical problems at an appropriate level and suggest viable approaches to provide efficient, cost-effective engineering solutions. Actively pursues process improvements in both the technical and implementation aspects of a project. Has strong technical knowledge and problem solving capabilities. Possesses good understanding of common operational practices and industry standards. Prepares data sheets, drawings, specifications, and other technical documents for the project. Technical work is attentive to detail, complete, well-documented, well-organized, and easy-to-follow. Works cooperatively with designers, drafters, and project teams to determine design requirements and ensure accuracy in technical products. Possesses good understanding of applicable engineering standards, NEC codes, rules and regulations. Prepares job definition drawings and other front end engineering scoping documents to be used for detailed engineering of projects. Works to promote business development by ensuring that appropriate work products are delivered to the clients by the scheduled due date.
