PRIMARY PURPOSE

Provides daily support for nursing operations to include research and development, integration of system-wide initiatives, collaboration with multiple nursing departments for the development and delivery of content for materials such as training materials, policies and procedures, etc., and identification of gaps in nursing performance to ensure the standardization and Best Practices for Parkland's nursing services.

MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS

Education:

* Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
* Must have a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) or must complete BSN within three years of hire/placement in role.
* Prefer a Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN).

Experience:

* Must have seven years of project experience, managing increasingly complex projects in a nursing department.
* Information Technology or Nursing Informatics experience preferred.

Equivalent Education & Experience

* May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute for both the education and the experience requirements.

Certification/Registration/Licensure:

* Must have current, valid RN license or temporary RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing; or, valid Compact RN license.
* Must have current healthcare provider CPR course completion card from one of the following:

oAmerican Heart Association

oAmerican Red Cross Rescuer

oMilitary Training Network.

Skills or Special Abilities:

* Must have excellent oral and written skills.
* Must have good organizational skills and be able to demonstrate both analytical and statistical skills.
* Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel.
* Must have excellent presentation skills, and personal computer skills in MS Word, Power Point, Access and Excel software.
* Must be have strong EPIC documentation skills.
* Must have strong database management skills.
* Must demonstrate ability to mine, analyze, collate and trend data.
* Must be able to prepare project schedules, budgets, and reports.
