About Parkland

Parkland Medical Center is a regional acute care hospital located in Derry, New Hampshire serving the populations of Derry, East Derry, Londonderry, Windham, Salem, Chester, Atkinson and Hampstead. Established in 1983, the hospital has become a leader in providing high quality healthcare services to its patients. The Hospital enjoys an impressive array of technology and services for a community hospital its size, eliminating the need for travel to Boston, MA or other larger metropolitan areas. Diagnostic capabilities and services in many instances rival those found in larger tertiary facilities. Twice Parkland has been the recipient of Solucient's "Top 100 Hospital Benchmarks for Success" Award, a distinction given to hospitals demonstrating superior performance across quality, operational and financial indicators. Patient safety has also earned the hospital national recognition from the Institute of Safe Medication Practices and patient satisfaction scores in recent years have been amongst the highest of all hospitals surveyed by Gallup across the nation. Hospital expansion plans in 2006 include multiple facility and service enhancements, a new ambulatory surgery center, a new Endoscopy Center, the implementation of new technologies such as PACS and ePOM, and further market development in key geographic areas. Through continued investment in technology, ongoing professional education for allied health professionals and a host of hospital services and programs, Parkland is able to demonstrate its relentless pursuit of clinical excellence and the highest standards of quality care. Parkland Medical Center's vision is to be a world-class community hospital, providing progressive, state-of-the art medical care while nurturing the emotional and spiritual needs of our patients and providing a place where the best people want to work.
