Directs, organizes, and monitors all spiritual care education efforts with all Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) students, pastoral volunteers, and Parkland staff ensuring excellence in education and training to support the provision of religious, spiritual and emotional support for patients, their loved ones, and PHHS staff.



* Must have a Graduate Level Theological Degree equivalent to a Master's of Divinity from an accredited institution, to include five years of related pastoral care experience.


* Must have an Ordination or Ecclesiastical endorsement.
* Must be certified as a Supervisor by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE, Inc.).
* Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-700.A: National Incident Management System (NIMS) An Introduction within 30 days of placement in role.
* Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-100.HCB: Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS 100) for Healthcare/Hospitals within 30 days of placement in role.
* Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-200.HCA: Applying ICS to Healthcare Organizations (ICS 200) within 30 days of placement in role.

Skills or Special Abilities:

* Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel both orally and in writing.
* Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of pastoral care and education theory and application techniques.
* Must be able to demonstrate effective organizational and time-management skills.
* Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behaviors.
