Essential Functions

Main Job Responsibilities:

* Assist in recruiting, sourcing, employment branding, diversity outreach, and community partnership.
* Screen applicants and align interviews as required.
* Assist in the offer process; establish and maintain consistent communication will all candidates, improving the candidate experience.
* Assist with employee engagement and empowerment.
* Participates/Assists with High Performance Teams (Wellness, Focus Group and Site Steering Teams).
* Maintain proper requisition documentation.
* Assist in the development of an HR team improvement board.
* Assist with miscellaneous special projects as needed; recruiting and retention project group.
* Maintain locational new hire training records.

Major Duties

Position Summary:

* Target Degree - Working on Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or other related field.
* With direct supervision, responsible for participating in an intern development program to learn the various aspects of the Human Resource department functions at the Hose Products Division of Parker Hannifin. This includes performing primarily HR staffing duties and some specialized functions in the completion of various human resource projects.


Projects (Past and Current):

* Assist the facility as they fullfill their Affirmative Action Plan
* Assist in completing Manhattan's staffing plan
* Improve requisition management and the candidate experience
* Assist in locational retention efforts
* Assist with employee engagement and empowerment HPTs


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

* Computer Skills: Proficient in computer applications for Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.
* Other desirables:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Presents self in a professional appearance and manner.
* Able to effectively communicate, solve problems, and build relationships at all levels within the facility.
* Self-starter, ability to work effectively with others; participative team player, organized, efficient and able to multi-task.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive issues.
