Full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Communication Studies.

Position Accountabilities:

* Teach graduate courses in the Master of Arts in Communication and Leadership, with possible opportunities to teach related undergraduate courses in the Department of Communication, Journalism, and Public Relations
* Coordinate and maintain instructional offerings and assessment of a quality, competitive, and up-to-date program
* Teach hybrid or online courses that support the needs of the program
* Possess both a theoretical and practical knowledge of current trends and issues in the areas of communication theory, communication research, interpersonal communication, small group communication, and organizational communication.
* Advise students, chair thesis and project committees, and evaluate comprehensive exams.
* Work collaboratively with other faculty members and mentor adjunct faculty members teaching in the department

Position Requirements:

* An earned Ph.D. from an accredited institution of higher education in Communication Studies
* A record of successful teaching experience and scholarship
* Experience with curriculum/course development
* Experience with teaching online
* Expertise related to theory and research in Communication Studies, particularly in the areas of organizational, interpersonal, and small group communication.
* Demonstrated commitment to excellence, diversity, and inclusion
* Demonstrated superior communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
* Prefer experience teaching in a University setting
