Panasonic- Software Project and Configuration Management - Intern

Responsible for software Project Management and Configuration Management using Agile methods. This includes project initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring and closure of a project. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining and monitoring project plans, resource management, schedules, work estimates and update Sprints.

* Project Management - Knowledge of Project Management processes, tools and techniques using Agile methodologies.
* Configuration Management - Some experience with Jira/Bitbucket to track software changes, managing Sprints and track and maintain Burndown charts.
* Testing Automation - Ability to create, update and execute Selenium Automation Test applications and run them on regular bases.
* Software Builds and Installation - Ability to do build automation and run builds using Jenkins and Quickbuild. Knowledge of Installshield is also preferred.
* Work with Development leads to track and update development and resource plans.
* Interface with all levels of internal clients and analyze current business and software development processes
* Post completion review and Reports - Work with project managers and team leads to organize Sprint and Project completion reviews, create Sprint Retrospectives and Key Performance Indicators(KPI) reports.
* Documentation - Work with the development team and the technical writers to develop the documents and knowledge base articles for the products developed.
* Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.


* Currently pursuing a Master's degree in computer science or a related field
* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
* Strong attention to detail
* Strong in Software Project Management concepts
* Task-oriented - Self-starter
* Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong written and verbal skills and ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
* Strong partnering skills and ability to work within a collaborative team environment
* Experience with Project and Version Control management tools like Atlassian Jira and Bitbucket.
* Experience with Test automation tools like Selenium.
* Experience with Build automation tools such as Jenkins and Quickbuild.
* Hands on experience with operating systems like CentOS and Windows. Proficient in script programming languages like Perl and Shell. Knowledge of C++ and Microsoft .Net is a plus.
* Proficient in Database concepts.
* A sense of ownership and responsibility for delivery is valued the most.
* This intern will be located in the Rolling Meadows, IL office
