We are looking to hire a Air Export Agent to process air export shipments with high accuracy using proprietary forwarding systems to ensure operational excellence, high productivity and customer satisfaction. To serve as a point of contact for the customer.


* Customer order receipt and acceptance.
* Communicate and ensure complete order acceptance.
* Arrange for pick up/transfer of cargo.
* Reserve HAWB / MAWB / AWB and make booking with carrier
* Review documentation with Shipper's Letter of Instruction (SLI), SOP, customer's instruction and/or Letter of Credit (if applicable) for accuracy of:
* shipper / consignee / marks and numbers;
* Calculations of weight, volume, dimensions, inland freight charges, goods description, clauses and delivery terms. Ensure Third Party documents for accuracy.

* Prepare and issue documentation by:
* Entering shipment information.
* Submitting CAED transmission, if applicable.
* Print and send shipment documents (scan if necessary) and freight invoice;
* Issuing (if required) Commercial Invoice, Certificate of Origin, Insurance Certificate and any other documents.
* Arranging for legalization of documents (if necessary).
* Arranging for inspection (if necessary).

* Distribute documents and make copies in accordance with shipper's, Panalpina's and/or destination country requirements.
* Send PACOM advice to destination, gateway and, if applicable, origin station.
* Confirm on board with Carriers
* Update PanTrace on a daily basis.
* Prepare and update job costing in system
* Ensure customer satisfaction and retention by answering all customer inquiries within the same day, including exceptions, rates, other fees and track & trace.
* Further increase customer satisfaction and business share through proactive and regular contact. Establish customer's communication preference (i.e., phone, e-mail, fax, visit).
* Handle and manage all customer contact at file level regarding exceptions and discrepancies.
* Print and label shipments, where applicable
* Other duties as requested.


* Strong freight forwarding knowledge and customs requirements with a proven track record of 2-3 years' experience in air export
* CIFFA, an asset
* Dangerous Goods Certification, an asset
* May be subject to obtain Authorized Cargo Representative (ACR) designated status when required
