We are looking to hire a Customer Service Agent to process import shipments with high accuracy by using proprietary forwarding applications, ensuring operational excellence and high productivity.

Responsibilities - Customer Service

* Coordinate and oversee import shipments on a daily basis
* Run pre-arrival reports (SCP/Pantrace) to capture all shipments consigned to the Gateways and process files
* Receive and verify pre-alerts and make use of PA e-file application
* Request arrival information from air carrier and update Pantrace (Track & Trace)
* Coordinate with the Ground Transportation team the timely recovery of freight at the airport (airport transfer)
* Follow the company's Sub-Contractor management policy (e.g. select trucking companies)
* Check received documents against manifest and pick-up log sheet
* Open MAWB and HAWB file for imports (Traffic direction 2 & 3) and follow instructions as per current Statistical Manual
* Verify the accuracy of AMS information against the manifest and work with airlines and handling agents
* Request 1F (AMS) for warehouse transfer
* Process inbond shipments (e.g. T&E & IT) as per current SOP
* Resolve customs hold together with BU
* G/O reporting in case of transit freight
* Prepare delivery order in CargoPoint
* Arrange payments of ISC (Import Service Charge) with checks, vouchers etc.
* Record incidents through IHT (Incident Handling Tool) e.g. delays, damages, etc.
* Provide ad-hoc rates upon request
* Ensure proper completion of all accounting procedures and data entry (Job costing and Shipping Run Closing)
* Coordinate with the warehouse the return of empty pallets within the demurrage free-time
* Meet specific import KPIs
* Other duties as requested


* Excellent knowledge of freight forwarding and regulatory requirements with proven track record with a minimum of two years of industry experience
* Knowledge of Panalpina products
* Thorough and comprehensive knowledge of Panalpina strategy, structure and pricing
* Proficient in Panalpina forwarding and MS Office applications
* College Degree preferred

* Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with Internal and External Customers
* Good judgment skills and ability to make decisions


* Multilingual a plus
