We are looking to hire a Business Unit Sales Manager for our South West District Sales group with major emphasis on developing and growing our San Diego North County sales for our location in San Diego CA


Achieve sales plan objectives with assigned SME clients and targets by effectively selling Panalpina's products and services

Key Tasks:

* Generate business with assigned SME clients and targets in line with the sales expectations
* Assure the successful client implementation and provide information to District Head of Sales for "sales planning" and forecast activities, including prospect qualification and local market intelligence via sales tools
* Provide client and target information by maintaining CRM database
* Execute sales process, strategy and method


* Minimum 3 years industry sales experience
* Functional experience in air / sea / customs brokerage
* Local market knowledge (customers, competitors, suppliers)
* Expertise and professionalism in customer contacts, understanding of customer requirements, analysis and resolution of problems and complaints
* Business administration, commercial and operational background


* Impact & Influence at all levels and ability to close
* Information, data gathering and analysis skills
* Conceptual thinking to propose/discuss client solutions
* Organizational awareness (focus on client organization)
* Achievement Orientation

* Personal Organization/self-management


* English
