Job Description

This is an entry level management trainee position reporting directly to the responsible 2nd VP or VP of the Global Life Operational Unit.

The incumbent will work directly on the research and analysis for implementation activities of Global Life Projects, New Products and Procedures, Risk Management, Production Customer/Operational Support and Systems (as assigned) by management. Incumbent will develop a working knowledge of all operational business areas to include: Claims, New Business Administration, Producer Services, Billing and Collections, Quality Assurance, Policy/Financial Services/Customer Service, and various additional departments throughout the organization. Our primary administrative system is Life-Comm with various surround applications currently supporting our business needs.

Job Duties to include the following:

Operational Units
* Gain knowledge of and understand the company's business as it pertains to the operational units within the Global Life Division, including the assigned unit's specific issues and problems. This is all inclusive of the following areas and needs: Claims, Underwriting/New Business, Billing and Collections, Policy/Customer Service, Product Development, Compliance, Quality Assurance, etc.
* Supports Global Life Risk Management functions as defined by the operational units.
* Assist with Business Statistical Analysis for all operational units.
* Gain knowledge of and understand corporate goals, and how they relate to the Individual Life business needs.
* Collaborates with the business units to find solutions (primarily automated) to their operational business needs.

Systems Enhancements /Upgrades and Testing

* Consults with business units and other internal personnel on feasibility, capabilities, and problem resolution on current and proposed systems, i.e. IT, Legal/Compliance, Audit, vendor organizations, etc.
* Assistance with the definition of business requirements into logical, economical, and practical business/system design specifications for collaboration with IT personnel.
* Assist business management in designing and implementing business processes and workflows to monitor productivity levels, and implement improvements on an ongoing basis for new sales concepts, ventures and growth.
* Assist with defining testing needs with the appropriate business areas through a collaborative effort with IT resources.
Training and Documentation

* Ongoing monitoring/assistance in the preparation of necessary documentation and operating procedures
* Participates in "hands-on training" for and with business unit personnel

Other Assignments

* Participates and assist management with all Vendor Management needs
* Support and use of multi-system (surround applications) tools to support the above duties

Job Requirements to include:

Required: College degree
Preferred: Bi-lingual Skills (English/Spanish) preferred for this position with the expectation for additional studies if needed
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Must have Educational Knowledge and/or Experience with Statistical Analysis
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with superior customer service skills
* Excellent project-management and training skills
* Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Office products)
* Excellent organizational, problem solving and time management skills
* Excellent vendor management, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
* Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
* Willingness to gain a working knowledge of all products sold by the Individual Life Division for both Domestic and International $ Sales with full support of current and future initiatives
* Will be expected to complete LOMA I and II courses within first year of accepting the position
* Educational Knowledge and/or Experience with Risk Management Practices (preferred)
