Job Description

General Purpose

Responsibilities

This position will operate cranes, equipment and machinery for the stock piling of coal, coal movement and ash handling operations at the power plant; operate equipment to maintain roads, parking lots, and bunkers; and perform preventative maintenance to avoid unnecessary downtime and safe working habits. Entails shift and weekend coverage.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or proof of equivalent.
  • Must pass Crane Operator written exam and practical exam on crane as well as various other equipment. 
  • Must have a current CDL, or able to obtain a Class A CDL license within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Must pass a qualifying physical capacity exam.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision and Depth perception.
