Requisition Summary

Operate and maintain the Maintenance Department’s parts storage area.   

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining the appropriate inventory of parts to support activities conducted by the Maintenance Department.
  • Maintain Storeroom records for inventory purposes.
  • Work with Managers and the Accounting department by performing required audits and maintain a 98% inventory accuracy rate in maintenance stores.
  • Utilizing various computer and filing systems to maintain adequate records for the Maintenance Storeroom.
  • Provide inventory forecasts on materials needed for future projects in the facility.
  • Process Shipping Requests when necessary.
  • Operate mobile equipment as necessary.  (i.e. forklift, carts, hoists, etc.)
  • Occasionally go offsite to pick up various parts from suppliers/vendors.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks as requested by Manager/Supervisor/Lead.
  • Follow the established housekeeping and safety practices.

Qualifications

  • Two years of industrial maintenance or related parts storage experience required.
  • A working knowledge of a Maintenance Management System (MMS) system desired.  (i.e. Maintimizer, Mapcon, SAP, etc.)
  • Computer experience utilizing, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), maintaining spreadsheets/graphs required, type 30 wpm.
  • Forklift Certified or the ability to become/maintain forklift certification.
  • Must possess a current Washington state driver’s license with no driving restrictions.
  • Mechanically inclined and/or experience working in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime to support production needs.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
