REQUISITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the PDC senior leadership, creates and drives PDC continuous improvement projects, Six Sigma projects and manages all quality-related activities for the facility.

 

LOCATION: Lancaster, PA

SHIFT: Day

 

JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generates ideas, develops plans, and leads continuous improvement projects in the PDC. Uses Six Sigma tools to complete multiple projects (through savings review) per year.
  • Manages the total quality program for the distribution center.
  • Proactively manages warehouse slotting strategy and multi-location/velocity mismatch reports.
  • Serves as quality liaison with Marketing, Materials, Traffic, inbound/outbound, other PDC's and suppliers, assuring compliance issues are followed through to resolution.
  • Manages inventory control activities to include shipping error research and resolution, NIS research, dealer returns, dealer credit requests, process audits, cycle count and inventory adjustments. Examine and continuously improve the PDC's cycle count process, dealer surveys and audit programs.
  • Covers for floor supervisors during absences and vacations as necessary.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor degree (B.A. or B.S.) required. Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related area required, M.B.A. desired.
  • Thorough knowledge of PDC operations, practices and procedures acquired by 4+ years of experience in a progressive, complex RF distribution center, with inventory control and supervisory duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and effectively communicate and present to individuals and groups. Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use AS400 and LAN systems experience required. Intermediate abilities in MS Office applications: Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MSWord.
  • Flexibility to work different and varied work schedules, up to 15% travel each year.
  • Six Sigma Lean Belt training (minimum). Green Belt preferred.
  • Bi-lingual skills a plus [desired, not required].
