Job Description

Summary:  Responsible for certification of Kenworth products in export markets

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Key point of contact for all certification related queries from dealers, customers and within Paccar for international markets.
  • Responsible for providing technical documentation of chassis and certified components to the regulatory agencies.
  • Responsible for keeping abreast of automotive regulations and changes in key markets
  • Responsible for maintaining the validity of certificates. Work with different agencies for certificate renewals per the latest regulatory standards.
  • Responsible for communication with overseas personnel and governmental agencies responsible for certification and testing
  • Responsible for coordinating annual factory certification audits and maintaining conformity of production plans relative to homologation.
  • Work with engineering, quality, assembly plants and the technical center to ensure products meet overseas requirements and are tested per the regulatory requirements..
  • Brainstorm/Research new ideas with the group to expand the current scope of certified configurations for conquest customers/markets.
  • Assist the sales team to define chassis specification for key  markets Key markets include Russia, Kazakhstan, China, and the Middle East


Qualifications & Skills   

  • Bachelor's degree required.  Engineering degree preferred. .
  • 5+ experience in engineering or technical, preferably in international business or with PACCAR.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Kenworth products; self-motivated and results oriented.
  • Ability to establish professional and working relationships with multiple departments within Paccar and overseas governmental agencies; ability to work independently in a leadership role.
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills.
  • Dynamic and effective interpersonal communication and presentation skills in a global cross cultural setting.
  • Demonstrated thorough understanding of vocational heavy duty trucks, preferably PACCAR products, as well as related applications and services
  • Ability and readiness to travel, including overseas, approximately 20%.
  • Foreign language a plus, with preference for Russian.
