Division Information

PACCAR Parts

PACCAR Parts operates a network of parts distribution centers offering aftermarket support to Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF dealers and customers around the world. Aftermarket support includes customer call centers operating 24 hours a day throughout the year and technologically advanced systems to enhance inventory control and expedite order processing.
 

Requisition Summary

This position is part of a collaborative team responsible for implementing Human Resource (HR) initiatives and establishing HR functional excellence. Primary responsibility is to provide HR support to the PACCAR Parts business leaders, administer HR programs and policies, participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide excellent customer service to employees and business leaders.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

Recruitment and Talent Management:

  • Supports annual goal setting, employee development planning and performance appraisal process. 
  • Assists with salary evaluations, affirmative action and diversity outreach planning.
  • Assists new employee onboarding experience including orientation and new employee passport program. 
  • Partners with recruitment team on job descriptions and other staffing related activities.

Training and Development:

  • Coordinates Division Training Schedule and assist with facilitating courses; enters training records in HRIS system.
  • Leverage existing technology to recommend and implement automated training solutions. 

Engagement, Rewards and Retention:

  • Analyzes and recommends programs to support employee engagement and communications.
  • Administer absence management/Leave of Absence programs including FMLA, ADA, STD, State leave programs.
  • Administers the Service Award Program and Annual Service Award Dinner.
  • Administers Employee Programs such as: Employee of the Month, PC Purchase, Tuition Reimbursement, New Employee Passports, etc.  

Organizational and HR Effectiveness:

  • HR Administration duties including: processing of exempt and non-exempt payroll, Commuter Trip Reduction program administration, maintenance of HR Communication sites, maintenance of global organization chart, employee file management and various SAP reports.
  • Responsible for SAP maintenance including new hires, separations, transfers, salary changes, shift changes, etc.
  • Participates in division and Companywide Six Sigma projects, Internal Control audits, and projects that support the human resources needs of PACCAR’s continuous improvement approach.
  • Ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Participates in global HR continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is required. Master’s degree a plus.
  • 2 years broad Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Must be a creative and innovative problem-solver with the ability to develop an analysis based on researching HR trends.
  • Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work with employees and managers at all different levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills, ability to work independently, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Professional with excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • HRIS, Applicant Tracking System and highly skilled with MS Office.
  • Understanding and knowledge of FMLA, ADA, AAP and Workers Compensation.
  • Understanding and working experience with SAP and SharePoint beyond basic data entry preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR certification desired.
