Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Actively involved in various month-end financial close processes, including journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations
  • Manage supplier EDI accounting transactions
  • Work with Accounts Payable Supervisor to prepare various metrics and schedules for monthly management reports
  • Accounts Payable functions, including coding, 3-way match, and posting invoices
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research, follow up and make corrections of discrepancies
  • Accounts Payable related research and timely issue resolution
  • Work with purchasing to prepare pricing settlements
  • Work directly with suppliers to maintain positive relationships
  • Special projects as assigned by the Accounts Payable Supervisor, including year-end closing activities
  • Lead team oriented projects to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
  • Provide accounting support for operations
  • Maintain updated accounting procedures
  • Participate in internal control reviews, including Sarbanes Oxley documentation and testing.


Qualifications & Skills

  • 3 years accounting experience required with a Bachelor's degree.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Deadline oriented and ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to research and problem solve
  • Solid understanding of accounting concepts
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills, attention to details
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with co-workers and others
