Requisition Summary

Kenworth Truck Company is hiring a Remote Diagnostics Support Engineer. This position is a key member of a team that will review data and initiate actions to insure that the team maximizes the benefit of remote diagnostics to PACCAR and our customers. This team also supports the infant care program to ensure that Dealers are supported so that customers receive the maximum benefit.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

Review analytics for top customers and emerging issues:

 

  • Look for ways to improve the fleets operation, fuel economy, and reduce faults.
  • Research data to uncover root cause and initiate resolution.
  • Support other investigations with Analytics
  • Monitor Dealer Remote Diagnostic Participation:
  • Identify Dealers and Customers that are not accessing website, initiate contact and training.
  • Uncover incidents where truck is in service prior to warranty initiation.
  • Take Calls from Dealer Support for Remote Diagnostics system issues:
  •  Related to system issues (strange truck appeared my fleet, lost account).
  •  Develop knowledge base and scripts for call center.
  • Use Design for Six Sigma and Six Sigma techniques to manage engineering projects.

Qualifications & Skills

  • BSME required; Master's degree in business or engineering and P.E. certificate desirable but not required
  • 0-3+ years of experience in the specification and design of complex automotive components required
  • Past experience working onsite at a PACCAR facility desirable but not required.
  • Competence in the use of personal computer software such as word processing, database, and spreadsheets
  • Familiarity with project management methods and tools
  • Candidate should be willing to make use of engineering processes and techniques and be resourceful in solving complex technical problems
  • Requires independent judgment and effective project management.
  •  Ability to manage costs, time and resources; strong communication skills.
