Requisition Summary

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating a Maintenance Teams across Multiple shifts in the support of Truck Assembly.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Includes assigning work; developing/training subordinates; initiating personnel actions such as promotions, transfers and vacation scheduling. 
  • Responsible for furthering the Company interests in Safety, Quality and controlling costs.
  • Plans, organizes, assigns and coordinates work to achieve production schedules.
  • Responsible for promoting and furthering Company objectives in safety, quality, cost reduction and personnel development.
  • Initiates and recommends appropriate personnel actions regarding new employee selection, promotions, training and employee counseling.
  • Personal commitment to quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Investigates and initiates work method, process control, layout and operating improvements, coordinating such efforts with appropriate support functions.
  • Successful record of developing effective teams and demonstrated understanding of quality, safety, and process improvements in a leadership capacity





  • Journeyman level Mechanic or Electrician training/experience.
  • A successful record of developing effective work teams, demonstrated technical ability and problem solving skills applied to quality, safety, and process improvements.
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methodologies.  Certified in Six Sigma a definite plus.




  • Four year degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Materials Management or a related field.
  • At least four years demonstrated leadership in front line supervisory, lead, or equivalent experience, preferably in a production environment.
  • Ability to operate and actively participate in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to initiate and lead change through continual process improvements.
