Requisition Summary

Evening Shift

Evaluate and support plant-wide electrical, control, and automation systems.  Design and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve reliability. 

Prepare, coordinate, and implement expense and capital budget projects as assigned.

 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

·      DESIGNS AND IMPLEMENTS MODIFICATIONS TO EXISTING ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. SOLICITS BIDS, SELECTS CONTRACTOR, COORDINATES WITH MAINTENANCE AND PRODUCTION AS REQUIRED. ENSURES THAT THE PROJECT IS COMPLETED WITHIN BUDGET AND ON SCHEDULE ENSURING THAT THE CONTRACTOR FOLLOWS ALL KENWORTH SAFETY REQUIREMENTS.

·      IDENTIFIES PROJECTS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO UPGRADES OR ENHANCEMENTS TO CONTROL OR AUTOMATION SYSTEMS, GENERATES COST ESTIMATES, AND JUSTIFIES PROJECTS FOR INCLUSION IN PROPOSED CAPITAL AND EXPENSE BUDGETS.

·      ESTABLISHES SOURCES OF SUPPLY AND PLACES EMERGENCY ORDERS FOR CRITICAL MATERIALS AND COMPONENTS, ENSURING TIMELINESS OF DELIVERY AND COMPLIANCE WITH PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS, WORKING WITHIN ASSIGNED AREAS OF AUTHORITY.

·      DEVELOPS, COORDINATES, AND SUPERVISES MAJOR MAINTENANCE AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS ON EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES.

·      ASSIST THE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS WITH TROUBLESHOOTING AND MAINTAINING CONTROLS AND AUTOMATED PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT, INCLUDING ROBOTIC EQUIPMENT.

·      MAINTAINS NECESSARY RECORDS AND DOCUMENTATION, PREPARING MANAGEMENT REPORTS AS ASSIGNED.

·      WORK WITH ACCOUNTING AND PURCHASING TO RESOLVE THE SUPPLIER PAYMENT SYSTEM.

·      ENSURES COMPLIANCE WITH ENVIRONMENTAL PROCEDURE. ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH NEC, NFPA, AND OSHA REGULATIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS.

·      PROVIDE MAINTENANCE SUPERVISION SUPPORT AS NEEDED.

·      ATTENDANCE IS AN ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF ALL POSITIONS.

       PERFORMS OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

Qualifications

·      2-7 YEARS RELATED EXPERIENCE. AUTOMOTIVE PAINT EXPERIENCE PREFERRED.

·      ABILITY TO MANAGE MULTIPLE PROJECTS WITH THE FLEXIBILITY TO ADAPT TO CONFLICTING REQUIREMENTS.

·       KNOWLEDGE OF CITY, STATE, AND FEDERAL ELECTRICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED. KNOWLEDGE OF MECHANICAL AND SAFETY CODES PREFERRED.

·      EXPERIENCE WITH ROCKWELL PROGRAMMING SOFTWARE INCLUDING: RSLogix 5000, RSLogix5, RSLogix500, RSView32, Panelbuilder32, FactoryTalk View Studio, and DriveExplorer or Drive Executive.
 
·      EXPERIENCE WITH ROBOTIC PROGRAMMING.  HANDS ON EXPERIENCE WITH EQUIPMENT CONTROLS.
