Job Description

 

At PACCAR we're looking for talented, enthusiastic professionals to join us as Windows Systems/Exchange Administrator. If you are not afraid of challenges, we would like to hear from you!

We are looking for seasoned engineers adept at designing and maintaining Windows environments in a VMware ESXi host environment. A critical portion of this position is acting as the hosted Exchange, Exchange Online, and Skype for Business systems Administrator. 

The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the management and administration of the hosted and online environments, including day-to-day system administration involving monitoring, security, performance, backup/restore and configuration changes.  Other duties include implementing new products or services, performing preventative maintenance, resolving operational problems to Windows, Exchange, and Skype, as well as providing tier 3 technical support to enterprise customers.

 

JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide Exchange and Skype maintenance and support
  • Develop and drive strategy for adopting and deploying new technologies
  • Develop and maintain architecture and technical standards and procedures
  • Learn new technologies as they emerge
  • Monitors capacity and performance to identify future system upgrades.
  • Performs system upgrades and updates.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Travel 10% domestically and internationally.
  • On call availability 24/7.
  • Participation in the on-call rotation process as part of the team.
  • Technically knowledgeable and customer service oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional manner.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of working experience in planning, designing, deploying, managing/  troubleshooting Microsoft Exchange Server systems as well as the following areas:  DNS, Windows Server  2012 and 2016, and Windows PowerShell
  • Working with and troubleshooting the following technologies - SMTP, DNS, Outlook Anywhere, Outlook Web App (OWA), Exchange ActiveSync and Message Transport / Mail routing.
  • Configuring and managing Exchange High Availability and Site Resilient solutions.
  • Configuring and managing e-mail security devices (e.g. Symantec, ProofPoint, Barracuda).
  • Experience using PowerShell to script tasks for automation and to administer Exchange.
  • Planning, designing, configuring and deploying Microsoft products utilizing the high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Track record of managing projects to completion.
  • Excellent teamwork abilities and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail oriented, organized and possess self-management and prioritization skills to handle multiple tasks and projects.

 

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field required
  • MSCE/MSCA/MCP Certification desired


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Prolonged sitting and manual dexterity are required. This position is in an office/desk work setting. 
  • Sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Team lifting large objects such as servers using lifting equipment
  • Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping
  • Possible crawling, bending, reaching, grasping, twisting, and occasional ladder use or stepstool work.
