Requisition Summary

The Production Tool Crib Attendant will be required to work under general supervision and will be responsible for maintaining, ordering, receiving, vending services, database management, vendor managed inventory (VMI), customer managed inventory (CMI), exterior stock locations and check in/out of tools.  Professional communication will be required with production employees, management staff, contractors and suppliers.  MS office will be used on a daily basis to perform job functions.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Responsible for ordering, stocking and maintaining the Production Tool Crib.
• Serves as Tool Crib customer service and purchasing representative.
• Creates purchase requisitions and receives invoices via The Company Store and Maintimizer.
• Works directly with suppliers to maintain Tool Crib stock and prevent stock out situations.
• Controls customer manager inventory (CMI), vendor managed inventory (VMI) and external stock locations.
• Serves as liaison between production, management and suppliers for vendor managed inventory (VMI).
• Maintains/updates MSC and Airgas vending databases for all employees at Peterbilt Denton campus.
• Maintains vending machine products as needed.  Tasks include: add items, delete items, product replacement, updating product images, setting min/max quantities and setting restrictions.
• Carefully maintains product databases by updating part costs, part numbers, supplier codes, PAC codes and MSDS information. 
• Utilizes GageInsite to track tool usage by checking-in tool for repair and checking-out repaired tools.
• Maintain Peterbilt tool asset numbers through GageInsite and engrave these numbers on assets as needed.
• Ability to research new products as instructed.
• Knowledge of industrial tools, hand tools, cutting tools, abrasives and power tools.
• Interfaces with production employees, management and suppliers on a daily basis.
• Demonstrates professional and successful communication skills (verbal/written/phone) with strong, effective interpersonal abilities.
• Supports Production by participating in other duties as assigned to meet Production expectations.
• Willingness to cross train on other jobs within department.
• Ability to learn new technologies and processes as business need arises.

Skills / Competencies

• Strong MS Office skills required.  Specifically: Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Organizational and inventory management skill or experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability gained through 5 years of industrial experience (preferred), preferably possessing 2 to 3 years with PACCAR.
• Experience coordinating with and/or directing supplier/vendor activities preferred.
• Experience with truck assembly equipment and processes preferred.
• Degree in Engineering/Management preferred.
