Requisition Summary

We are now recruiting a State Tax Manager to join the PACCAR global tax department. The candidate must possess good analytical skills, business judgment, and an attention to detail. We are looking for an experienced professional in the field. If you enjoy a wide range of opportunities and challenges, this position is right for you!


Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Review sales and use tax filings.
  • Manage sales tax audits and appeals.
  • Advise all lines of business on technical transaction and other tax issues.
  • Prepare and review federal excise tax filings for truck manufacturing company
  • Prepare complex B&O tax filings.
  • Prepare and manage ASC 450 reserve schedules.
  • Interface with state tax authorities on inquiries and examinations.
  • Interface with franchises, customers, and suppliers to resolve transaction tax issues.
  • Prepare and review annual property tax filings
  • Review property tax assessments and coordinate appeals
  • Coordinate 1099-MISC filings
  • Manage other state filings including unclaimed property and secretary of state reports.
  • Provide support and assistance to comply with internal and external audit requests as well as the IRS.
  • Assist other PACCAR departments, divisions and subsidiaries for tax related areas and tax needs.
  • Maintain and reconcile tax related g/l accounts.
  • Keep current with tax law and regulation changes, research and prepare memoranda as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Minimum five years of relevant tax experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA, MBA and/or LLM desired
