Requisition Summary

  • Translates customer requirements on Sales Orders using Engineering standards into part requirements and build information for Materials and the production

Job Functions / Responsibilities


  • Analyzes specialized orders and makes recommendations to dealers/customers.  Contacts dealers to clarify sales orders, determine component usage and provide technical guidance
  • Prepares engineering releases by interpreting orders and engineering drawings
  • Contact dealers to clarify sales orders and/or make recommendations related to proper component usage
  • Coordinates with product engineers as necessary to obtain input related to chassis components
  • Provides technical guidance for changes during pilot inspections, assist sales coordinator related to technical information and may assume sales coordinator duties as required
  • Interprets sales orders and engineering drawings to prepare engineering releases
  • Performs PROE/CADAM release activities for various truck components
  • Helps implement and coordinate new programs
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Attendance is an essential function of all positions



  • Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate technical data
  • Demonstrate high level of initiative and follow through
  • Strong desire to learn new roles and activities within department
  • Demonstrate and maintain high level of flexibility in role within department
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must be capable of multi-tasking


  • BS degree in Engineering preferred
  • Proficient with PROE systems
  • Three – five years truck or automotive experience with demonstrated understanding of mechanical devices and manufacturing processes
  • Experience preferably possessing two years with PACCAR
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex tasks
  • Proficient with CADAM system
  • Familiarity of CICS system
  • Proficient with Windows systems
  • Detail-oriented with ability to effectively communicate technical data. 


  • Must meet physical requirements of the position with or without accommodations



  • BS degree in Engineering preferred
